James Hadley has more than 25 years of experience in creating and directing large-scale events, circus shows and professional theater. He recently created the Closing Ceremony of the first-ever European Games in 2015. This enormous multi-media performance, seen by over 500 million people, featured more than 3,000 artists and musical acts, including John Newman and Clean Bandit. After performing in multiple shows on Broadway, James became Cirque du Soleil’s Senior Artistic Director for North America, where he was responsible for the artistic quality and evolution of world-renowned shows including Mystère, La Nouba, ‘O’, The Beatles’ LOVE, Ka, Iris and Zumanity. He also directed the Cirque du Soleil content in many large-scale promotional events including The Grammy Awards, The Tonight Show, Live with Kelly and Michael, The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Today Show. He has created and directed many circus productions that have toured South America, with spectacular acts from all over the world. James is thrilled to be working with Feld Entertainment on Marvel Universe LIVE! Age of Heroes.
